It’s finally March, and that means it’s Women’s History Month! According to the official Women’s History Month website, the month is meant to “celebrate the contributions women have made to the United States and recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of fields.”
Of course, there are so many ways to support women this month. One of the many areas that women have made incredible achievements in, however, is in business, with female entrepreneurs and businesswomen creating some of the most innovative and interesting products and services out there — including products and services in cannabis!
We’re celebrating Women’s History Month with four amazing women-owned cannabis companies. Treat yourself to something new while also supporting women entrepreneurs.

It’s tough to find a cannabis company that’s more aesthetically pleasing than this one! Pure Beauty is a Los Angeles-based company founded by Imelda Walavalkar, and it specializes in pre-rolls, flower, drinks, and more.
Some things that make Pure Beauty special are their sourcing and commitment to environmental and social justice, and eco-friendly practices. They explain, “Pure Beauty cannabis is sourced from select, reputable growers known for their commitment to quality and environmental progressiveness.” When you purchase from Pure Beauty, you can be sure it’s super high quality.
Pure Beauty also engages in philanthropy and advocacy for marginalized communities. According to their website, Pure Beauty is “very aware of the historical injustices that surround the growth and sale of this plant and understand the responsibility we have. We use our voice and our community and our weed to try and keep this industry real. And diverse. And fair. We have and will donate and speak where we can, when we can.”
Check out their products, like Apple Strudel bud, Indica cigs, and Mandarin Turmeric Ginger Drink.
Another beautiful brand is Flower by Edie Parker, founded by Brett Heyman. Their website states that they “[usher] in a new generation of cannabis consumers with an irreverent and bold collection of design-forward accessories and premium cannabis flower. Merging the worlds of fashion and flower, Edie Parker continues to break barriers and normalize the use and enjoyment of the plant.”
As the name implies, their cannabisproducts are plant and flower themed with their packaging. These include gummies or “Seedies,” vapes or “Petal Puffers,” pre-rolls or “Best Buds,” and flower or “Flower Pots,” along with chocolate bars and more. It’s the cutest!

If you think the name sounds familiar, it’s because the brand was initially launched as a luxury handbag. Although they made a large pivot to cannabis, they retained the focus on style. They explain, “we launched Flower by Edie Parker to normalize social cannabis use, creating products meant to be proudly displayed and enjoyed. Our brand resonates with all smokers with style.”

More interested in edibles and beverages? Kikoko might be the women-owned brand for you: “Kikoko is a cannabis botanical wellness company that was founded in 2015 by Jennifer Chapin and Amanda Jones for a friend with cancer. Since then, our mission has been to offer women plant-based scientifically proven alternatives to pharmaceuticals and alcohol.”
Kikoko is unique in that you can shop by product type or by benefit. For example, you could narrow your search to herbal teas, mints, xtabs, or tinctures, or you could shop by “sleep,” “calm,” “play,” “focus,” or “energy.” As such, the site is super user friendly to get into the products, especially for beginners who might not know what types of cannabis work best for them.
Looking for more help? The website also has a cool “Find Your Dose” feature, where you can answer some questions about the type of effects you’re looking for in order to find your perfect product. These include products that have THC and CBD or just CBD.

In contrast to the other companies on this list, Gorilla Rx is a dispensary that includes products from a variety of amazing brands, and they’re available for online ordering or pickup in Los Angeles.
